My initial thoughts about the theme constructed landscapes was intriguing and I was optimistic to begin. As soon as I started, my engagement increased and I was thrilled to refine the work and make further developments. I researched a variety of photographers: for example, Dafna Talmor and Dione Lee which really enlightened me to portray my piece in an adjusted and reviewed manner. Within this project, I tackled the first threshold concept of photography has many genres: some old, some borrowed, some new: which emphasises the notion of incorporating all different aspects of photography within one.
Similarly, I carried out a series of experimentation through the use of acetate and paper negatives to evaluate what looked best. I additionally, used the printer to create a merge of colours and allude an ideal of originality and a unique perspective. In order to develop this project, I viewed the ones that looked most aesthetically pleasing and continued to refine until a final product was produced. Along the way, my skills have developed and my portrayal of my work was more sophisticated. My website has been a significant tool ib viewing my progress and seeing the parts I can refine.
My final piece for this personal project was an almost 3 Dimensional effect of the dark room print and photographic paper and it was hard in the areas I had to persevere for the end result. I made an additional piece using colour manipulation and the printer, exemplifying merging of images.
